Tatar Tot Casserole

I made this casserole the other day and Little Miss Khaos LOVED it. Seriously the fastest she has ever eaten dinner and asked for seconds so I wanted to share the recipe with you guys. I did wing it so the amounts aren’t exact, feel free to play with the ingredients as needed.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lbs Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Packet Lipton Recipe Secrets – Onion
  • 1 Carton of Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 Packet Brown Gravy
  • 1 Package Frozen Mix Vegetables
  • 1 Can of Cream of Celery
  • 2 Cans of Cream of Mushroom
  • 1 – 32 Ounce package of Tatar Tots (Thawed)
    • Or Mashed Potatoes
    • Or Mashed Cauliflower

Preheat oven to 350 degree

In a large skillet cook ground beef with Onion soup mix. Once it’s almost cooked, add in 1 carton of sliced mushrooms. After the Mushrooms cooked down and the meat is fully done, add in a frozen bag of vegetables. (I didn’t drain any grease) Once the vegetables are not fully cooked but not frozen anymore take the whole mixture and put it as the bottom layer in a 9 x 13 Glass baking dish. Cook the packet of Brown Gravy mix according to the directions then pour it over the meat and spread it across evenly. Top this with the Tatar Tots (or Potatoes / Cauliflower)

 
In a bowl, mix 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom & 1 can of Cream of Celery. Spread this on top of the Tatar Tots. 
 
Bake in preheated over for 1 hour. I watch for the top to be brown, and it is boiling throughout.
